Lakeshore Black Belt Academy Leadership
Lakeshore Black Belt Academy takes the concept of leadership very seriously. Our leaders have the responsibility of showing our members that their trust is well-placed and that our instructors truly care about the students they are teaching.
It is sometimes assumed that once a student earns their black belt, they are ready to teach others. ATA does not agree that a person that can do something well is necessarily qualified to teach others. ATA has developed an intensive instructor training program over the past 30 years to insure that all ATA instructors are professional teachers.
Our instructors receive personal benefits too from their dedication and hard work to helping others. Not only do they continue to advance in their own Taekwondo training, but they learn and develop instructional skills, as well as, leadership skills and techniques. These skills along with the valuable life skills we instill in our leaders will benefit them throughout all aspects of their lives.
Each of our adult leaders must pass three levels of our instructor trainee program before reaching their goal of becoming a Certified ATA Instructor. Our junior leaders follow our instructor trainee program closely to gain the same skills that will be required of them when they come of age.
